malŝarĝi (present malŝarĝas, past malŝarĝis, future malŝarĝos, conditional malŝarĝus, volitive malŝarĝu)

1. to unload (a vehicle, etc.)
2. to relieve of a burden

• The direct object of malŝarĝi is the vehicle, container, etc., being relieved of its burden: Ni malŝarĝis la kamionon ― We unloaded the truck. To indicate the burden being removed, one can use the verb elŝarĝi: Ni elŝarĝis la meblojn (el la kamiono) ― We unloaded the furniture (out of the truck).
