    Etymology
    
Borrowed from Classical Persian لوازمه (lawāzima), plural of Arabic لَوَازِم (lawāzim), itself a plural of لَازِم (lāzim, “necessary”). So Marathi लवाजमे (lavājme, “retinues”) is etymologically a threefold plural.
