From Middle Median *aspak, from Old Median σπάκα (“dog”).
Usage notes
The word is a hapax legomenon attested only in the following phrase: շունք սեղանոյն ասպակի սպասիցեն (šunkʻ sełanoyn aspaki spasicʻen).
