żubr
Etymology

From older zubr, an Old East Slavic-influenced form from Proto-Slavic *zǫbrъ, *izǫbrъ. Displaced Old Polish ząbr. The current form being żubr and not zubr is a result of hypercorrection due to avoiding mazuration.
